Sony has recently announced that they will be releasing the first 3D head mounted display called the HMZ-T1 . This interesting gadget incorporates different panels for each eye to display 3D. This unit displays up to 720p resolution and offers 5.1 surround sound.
The HMZ-T1 will launch in Japan for 60 thousand yen on Nov. 11, however no US release or pricing has yet been announced. Please check back here as more information becomes available.
